Year Five's newspaper has been published!
World Book Day 2014 was a huge success in year five. We enjoyed reading The BFG as a class reading book. We then spent our literacy lessons, during the Book Week, inventing our own weird and wonderful dreams, inventing gruesome new giants and learning and adding actions to BFG's song 'Whizzpop, Whizzbang'.
School Trip to Blackpool Tower
Take a look at the slideshow below of our trip to Blackpool Tower where we observed and studied Blackpool's coastline from the top of the tower. We then went and enjoyed Jungle Jim's and Blackpool Dungeons afterwards.
Bikeability 2014
Congratulations to 27 of our pupils who worked hard to achieve their Bikeability award. Over two days the children, tutored by members of Blackpool's Cycle Team, learned how to ride their bikes safely on the roads.
Beacon Fell
On 3rd June we went to Beacon Fell to begin our Life Cycles topic for science. We had great fun searching for, observing and learning about minibeasts and pond creatures. We then had an orienteering competition and worked as a team to build a den using anything we could find in the woodland.
