Year 1

World Book Day

Year 1 completed a book scavenger hunt with friends and parents as part of World Book Day. We had fantastic fun in the library hunting for witches, wolves and porridge (as well as many other interesting characters).

Can you guess what book these characters are from?

The Queen of Hearts...

A spotty Dalmatian...

The boy who never grew up...

A princess who marries a beast...

A man with a chocolate factory and golden tickets...

In PE this week Year 1 were all superstar Gymnasts! We practiced our pikes, straddles and held different balances whilst using the apparatus.

Memory Boxes

Thank you to all the parents that took the time to help their child create a memory box. Some fantastic memories and sentimental objects were shared in class. All of the children enjoyed talking about all their personal treasures and were all so proud!

We have lots of exciting things coming up in Year One.

Here are a few things we have already done this year!
