Key Stage 1

Reception and Key Stage 1 liturgy

On Friday 1st May, Reception and Key Stage 1 welcomed Father Chris to join us for our Key Stage liturgy. We were thinking about how we might follow Jesus using the image of Jesus the Good Shepherd who looks after his sheep. The sheep know the Shepherd’s voice. They know when he calls them by name.

Think for a moment about the voices you know. Imagine your parent’s voice asking you what you’d like to eat for tea. Or your teacher’s voice saying, “well done” for a piece of work. Have you ever been in a situation when you don’t know what to do and you’re stuck, and you think “Well Mum would…, or Dad would say…” We know their voices well, our teachers’ voices too. We often seem to know what they would say and do in all sorts of situations. They seem to know what’s best for us. We trust them.

Key Stage 1 and Reception January 2015 liturgy

On Wednesday 20th January, Reception and Years 1 and 2 welcomed Father Chris into our key stage liturgy. The theme was water and Y2 led the liturgy along with some lovely doves and reflections on why we need water by Reception and bidding prayers by Year 1.
