The children thought about how the lovely residents in the care home might feel at not seeing their family and friends. They suggested some lovely messages and made a basket of decorated pebbles for the residents to place in their garden, and maybe even use for creating some recycled art with.
"Room on the Broom" is one of our favourite stories. One of the children wanted to make a broomstick but wondered "How will it really fly?"
Following the children's interests led to making potions and spells, chopping leaves and twigs to mix in a bubbly cauldron.
Balancing and walking along the planks was very challenging, "It's like Ninja Warriors!"
So we added some hoops, and some labels so that we could pretend which parts were over water.
An egg appeared in our Outdoor area, and we wondered what had hatched out of it.
Sapphire Bubble loves stories, and we have used some of our favourite Julia Donaldson books to reinforce important key concepts for the children.
